What kind of washing powder do you use?

I wash my clothes with the gain powder and I use the Purex crystals. Then I use either the yellow or purple to Downey. Then a gain dryer sheet. I love my clothes to smell fresh but the things I am using are getting a little expensive. So I was just wondering if there was something just as good out there. Also what kind of stain treatment do you use. I always used spray n wash and it worked great till they put resolve in it. Now it turnes the spots I spray white.
