Someone wanna help me, i got a bit of a situation?

OKAY, so during my spring break about in mid march a few months i met this guy (im a guy too, fyi) and we were talking and stuff and i had never before had feelings for a guy nor had he...but there was just something that happened and we ended up liking each other..but anyway we talked for awhile i would say like 2 weeks and every time he would tell me how much he liked me and he wanted to be at least friends or down low boyfriends for a long time...but one day when we were in his car after lunch we kinda hooked up and had sex.....we were both into it and stuff (btw none of our friends know about this). and about 2days later i texted him no reply..3 days no reply...4 days i finally told him he had to reply because i had an important question...he replied i asked him what was up with us..and he said that it changed him a little and he wasn't sure if being with a guy is what he wanted..(i wasn't sure either but whatever) so then i told him well do you want to at least be friends...and i didn't get a reply but anyhow since then i have had a girlfriend but lately i've been thinking about and him, i still have his number and im wondering should i text him back and see if we can start our friendship or relationship back up...or should i just let it go. we were both 17 btw..if that helps w/anything. i know the worse thing that can happen is no reply or rejection...but im kinda scared of rejection. What should i tell him any ideas?
